As everybody know honey is full of sugar. The sugar content in the honey is acting like a preservative. But honey draws moisture out of the air so it can get to a moisture level where the amount of sugar is reduced and then spoilage can occur.
If the honey is kept sealed in the comb or in a sealed jar it should be able to last forever.
